On October 23, 2019, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, in cooperation with the USAID Collaborative Governance Program, will host a conference entitled “Local Mechanisms for Safeguarding and Protection from Domestic Violence”. Achievements of the 27 Committees on Prevention Domestic Violence (CPDVs) operating in four districts of Issyk-Kul and Osh Oblasts and nine new settlements of Bishkek to be presented to the participants. The conference will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 192 Abdrakhmanov Street.
The participants include  Vice Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) Aida Kasmalieva, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynai Omurbekova, Minister of Labor and Social Development Ulukbek Kochkorov, deputies, representatives of state bodies, USAID, civil society, and local Committees for Prevention of Domestic Violence (CPDVs). 
A Press Café to be held at 15:00 with representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the Association of Crisis Centers, the Public Union “Abiyir El”, the Public Fund “DIA”, and Committees on Prevention Domestic Violence from Bishkek city, Issyk-Kul and Osh Oblasts. 
The CPDV activists will share their best practices to prevent domestic violence, lessons learned, and further plans for development and strengthening the capacity of CPDVs.
