Bishkek. On November 5, 2019, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, in cooperation with the USAID Collaborative Governance Program and Development Policy Institute, is organizing a conference entitled “Experience and Perspectives of State Social Procurement in the Kyrgyz Republic”. The conference will start from 10:00 a.m. to 16:00 at the Sheraton Bishkek Hotel, 148 B Kievskaya Street.
 
Journalists will have an opportunity to learn about latest progress in implementing the Law on State Social Procurement, which allows the government to partner with non-government organizations in providing various services. Cities and local governments from Issyk-Kul, Osh and Chui Oblasts will share their best practices and lessons learned in using social procurement. 
 
Among the key speakers of the event are the Head of the Department on Civil Development, Religious and Ethnic Policy of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Nazgul Tashpaeva, the Minister of Labor and Social Development Ulugbek Kochkorov, USAID/Kyrgyz Republic Mission Director Gary Linden.
